Joe Fleming

Artistic Director, Performer.

Born into a theatrical family and with a degree in Contemporary Theatre & Performance from MMU, Joe Fleming has worked all over the world including the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, run theatre, music and circus workshops in Chennai India, Indonesia and Europe.

He is a theatre maker, performer and multi-instrumentalist. Fascinated and inspired by outdoor theatre, spectacle and circus, Joe also creates his own work, this is Circadian. Joe has worked for many different theatre companies as a performer and musical director, also running workshops devising and making theatre. Companies have included; Walk The Plank, The Bread & Butter Theatre Company, Welfare State International, No Fit State Circus, Sound Intervention, B-arts, Blaize, The Grand Theatre of Lemmings & Emergency Exit Arts.

Nick Cassenbaum

Performer.

Nick has a BA in drama from Exeter and an MA in writing for performance from Goldsmiths college. He is a writer, performer and theatre maker.

Nick creates work that asks people to engage with spaces, places and people. He is one half of the company ‘Take Stock Exchange’ which produces work in the London borough of Redbridge to create a space where people can think about themselves, where they live and the world around them. He also worked within Wood Street indoor market to create A Night at the Dogs (Theatre 41), which was about the closed Walthamstow Dog Track. He plans to return with the company ‘Slap Haddock’ to look at the filmic history of the area. Nick is a graduate of the Young Writers Programme at The Royal Court and wants to bring forgotten and ignored voices to the stage.

Tiago Fonseca

Performer.

Tiago trained at “Chapito” Escola Profissional de Artes e Ofícios do Espectáculo, Lisbon; and the National Centre for Circus Arts (BA Hons Circus Arts) in London and has worked with Lit Circus, Cirqualition Locale, NoFit State Circus, Mattress Circus and Bureau of Silly Ideas. He is also the artistic director of the annual Lisbon Busking Festival.

Key outdoor performance experience includes: “Park Life” (2009-2010) and “Barricade” (2011-2012) with No Fit State Circus, which with acrobatics, acro-balance, Korean cradle, and clowning. Film credits as clown-acrobat include: Ruby Robinson (2015 Sky Arts silent comedy, starring Kim Cattrall); and Victor Frankenstein (2014 Fox Movies UK, starring Daniel Radcliff).

Sean Matthews

Performer.

During his BA(Hons) Performing Arts degree at The University of Winchester, Sean specialised in physical and movement theatre and then went on to complete the two year Professional Acting Course at The Jacques LeCoq School in Paris. Although a London based actor, Sean is a member of International Theatre Company 38CIT, who are based in Paris.

He also performs across Europe with Theatre In Education company Big Wheel. He has performed in their interactive workshops based on Shakespeare and English and French Language and has been an active member of the company since 2010. He has worked with many different theatre companies including Slap Haddock, Rhum and Clay, The People Pile, and film production companies such as Channel 4, Talkback Thames and Ikonic Films.

These workshops are designed for all ages and can be customised to support any ability. We have years of workshop experience and have worked with youth/community groups, Primary and Secondary schools. Our workshops are all about empowering people.
